Organization Take Over

Each year we partner with The University of Alabama Student Center to host Organization Takeover, a complementary event to continue the momentum of Get On Board Day (GOBD). The two-day event occurs the week after GOBD each fall and spring. During this time, student organizations register to take over The University of Alabama Student Center from 5 – 9 p.m. each night to host one of three activities:

1. The organization’s first meeting
2. A meet and greet
3. A demonstration, workshop, and/or performance

The Organization Takeover will be held in the UA Student Center. Schedules will be posted after the registration deadline.

There is no cost for organizations or students to attend Organization Takeover sessions. The deadline to submit registration is January 18, 2024.

Spring Dates

• Monday, January 22, 2024 from 5 – 9 p.m.
• Tuesday, January 23, 2024  from 5 – 9 p.m.

Student Organization Sign Up

Space and time slots are available on a first come first serve basis. Student organizations can sign up for Organization Takeover here.

Students who want to attend Organization Takeover should just show up to The University of Alabama Student Center at the time of the event.

1. Get great exposure for your first meeting
2. Capitalize in the energy and excitement from GOBD!
3. Have a time for your members to reach prospective members who are interested in joining your cause and learning more about your org.
4. Show students what you are all about by hosting a performance!
